What’s This All About Then?
Terry Pratchett, author of the bestselling Discworld novels, has been diagnosed with a rare form of Alzheimer’s. He has donated half a million pounds (approx $1 million) to Alzheimer’s research and appeared in the media highlighting the low levels of research funding Alzheimer’s receives.
Match It For Pratchett is a spontaneous, grassroots, totally unofficial campaign by loyal readers from around the world to raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Research Trust in the UK and Alzheimer’s research in general around the world.

it is always good to donate. I have take initiative to donate 10% of my blog earnings each month. Maybe, it will be good if Terry donated that money before realizing that he got Alzheimer. Now, he is hoping for something. Donation is something you give and hope nothing. Terry’s donation is best to call as investment to find medicine for himself. I’m sorry being so rude here, but this is my personal opinion.
I do not know whether Terry Pratchett donated money to charitable organizations before his diagnosis or not. There are so many areas of need in this world, many people give to some and not others. It is only natural that a cause would become more important to you if you are suddenly affected by it yourself. This is my personal opinion.
