Let’s come into the house, my love
And imbue it’s beauty with our passion.
Let’s steal away at least for a day
And hide in its ethereal bastions.
Make time for me, and I for you
Share these few precious moments, I pray.
For today is now, tomorrow is not promised
Let’s be as one, what do you say?

Hi, Leigh! I’ve been waiting for you. As usual, you’re spectacular:) You should gather up all your poems eventually and put them into a book. Just lovely! Thanks so much :)

You know, I just might. My teen poetry was darker though…

Leigh, I second the book idea. I’ll be first in line to buy it! Bravo on your poem for this exercise. :)

That’s me in the previous comment, Pamela Sweet.
