There were only two people Joy Candellaro loved in the world, her sister Stacey and her husband Thomas. It’s almost a year later and she’s dreading the upcoming Christmas, parties…anything to remind her of the pain. How could people you love do this to you? How could people who say they love you do this to you? She can’t understand how they could hurt her so badly. She pulls into her driveway one day and there her sister stands. Joy thought maybe she’d tell her she was sorry…how she messed up and wanted forgiveness. Instead, her sister hands her a wedding invitation and tells her she’s pregnant. Joy can’t even speak she’s so hurt. She had always wanted children and Thomas wanted to wait. Obviously, he did not want children with her. She runs to her car and takes off just to get away…so she can breath. She doesn’t know where to go, she just knows she has to get away. She passes an airport and pulls in, walks up to a desk and checks out the names of places the planes are going. She picks any city a plane is going to quickly, buys a charter ticket and boards the plane to get as far away as she can as fast as she can. This is when the story really gets started. I can’t give away what happens and how this wonderful story ends, but I do want you to know that I recommend you reading this book if you want a warm fuzzy feeling after reading it…and want to experience a Christmas miracle through Joy’s eyes. You’ll really love the ending! (This book is only 240 pages, so it’s a quick read and worth it!)
