This story broke my heart as I read of Holly’s life growing up. The things her mother said to her as a child were so heartless…so uncaring. When Holly wasn’t working to help support her mother and sisters, she spent time in the woods…the woods just outside of the Beast’s castle. She watched him, he was always alone…just like her. One day while Holly is sitting in the middle of the woods at peace watching the animals play, she meets the most handsome man she has ever seen. He is tall, brown haired and Holly thinks his face had “surely been kissed by the gods.” I happen to love that line and will most likely start using it when I see a really cute guy! Ristan speaks to her and when she asks him why he is in the woods, he tells her he is in search of his true love. This starts their relationship, Ristan wants to know everything about her and she him. They start meeting in the woods and soon fall in love–she is finally happy. The story gets very hot and steamy! Then Alexavier Verrada wants Holly…and her life changes. So drastically that you have to read the book to fully grasp it. I always put myself into the leading character’s role. I feel what they feel and I have to say…parts of this story are tear jerkers, parts fill you heart with love, other parts are erotic, hot, hot, hot, and some parts twist and turn to keep you fully interested and wanting to see what’s going to happen next with the characters (there is a lot more to this story and I don’t want to give too much away!). It’s an emotional roller coaster for Holly and you’ll love taking the ride with her!

This is a quick read…only 59 pages (piece of cake)–which I read nonstop! There is a great moral to this story. Because you will want to read this erotic story with its twists and turns to the very end, I give this story 4 cocktails!

The Texty Ladies would like to thank Leigh Royals for her entry in this week’s Monday Mix Writing Contest. Since we’re not receiving many entries yet, we’ll treat it as a writing exercise. It can always be changed back into a contest when we start receiving more entries. We’re having a little something prepared to give to each of the participants so please do give it a try! I know we all enjoy reading what people come up with and we hope you’ll just have fun with it.

With regard to other matters:

BB is available to review ebooks so if you’ve got one you’d like her to review, please contact her by email at textyladies@gmail.com or you can use our contact page.

I’m excited to report that we have some fantastic interviews coming up in the next few weeks! I won’t give you any clues about who they’re with so you’ll just have to check back and see.

Since I’ve got the floor, I’d like to ask for your opinion on something. I’m considering signing up for this year and would like to hear from anyone who has tried it or from anyone with a strong opinion on the subject. If you haven’t heard of it, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month and is held every November. To become a “winner”, you must write a 50,000 word story in one month (November). I believe the goal is to focus on quantity rather than quality to help you learn how to write first and edit later. I know this is a ways off yet but I’ve had the idea in the back of my brain all year. Plus, if I do decide to enter, I’ll have told the world of my interest and will feel like a heel if I don’t complete it. There’s motivation for ya!

With the Palm tx you can:

Check email. The email program is fantastic. You can control whether or not to keep the messages on the server after delivery to TX, you have filtering options, and much more.

Keep appointments

Read e-books. The display on the TX is great for reading eBooks. Has automatic scroll, very clear, high contrast, customizable. Very easy to read even outdoors. I keep mine on the lowest brightness setting indoors, and it is still clear and very readable.

Address book. Multiple contacts, syncs with Outlook and other programs

To-do list with calendar integration with alarms for appointments, upcoming tasks, etc.

Surf the internet (Blazer browser)

Photos

Videos

Comes with a built in application called AddIt, which allows you to browse through an extensive Palm software catalog to buy, try, and some free. You can also find many free or open source programs or apps or games on the web(examples of some I have downloaded are Vexed, a logic puzzle game, LPZ, an NES emulator so you can play all original nes games.)

The Palm has memory expansion via SD memory

The Palm tx does all that and much, much more. It has built in WiFi and Bluetooth technology, you can carry your Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files. The large color screen rotates from portrait to landscape mode. You can listen to MP3’s and read eBooks.

It has a retractable graffiti area (has handwriting recognition)

Comes with plenty of good applications, such as:

Email Application (Versamail)

Web Browser (Blazer)

A nice media player–Pocket tunes for music

Calculator

Supports Microsoft Office Documents such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint

Notepad (you can use stylus to scribble, draw, write, etc)

Clock

Games:

Comes with card games, but you can download many other games, some free, some pay.

Free applications you can download

LONG lasting battery that charges quickly through the USB cable or the provided wall adapter.

I don’t have a Mac, so have no idea how well the Palm tx works for those of you who do.

Problems:

Problems are few; there is no support for Flash media, the included screen protector may not be adequate (but that’s where the rhino skin comes in handy). Graffiti is a little hard to get used to, but you can just use the on screen keyboard instead. If you’re not getting programs specifically compatible with the TX, those programs might cause crashes.(30 second, if that, reboot. Check compatibility.) The TX is user friendly. Read the manual!

Accessories: The TX fits in your pocket, or you can put it in your purse or book bag, where it might get a little, well, squashed. You don’t want anything to hurt your TX, which leads me to the first accessory I bought; a Rhino Skin aluminum case. Not only is it nice looking, but it is lined with neoprene to protect your TX. It also comes with a belt clip. The case is hard, tough, and you won’t have to worry so much about your TX getting damaged if you, say…sit on it. Let’s hope you don’t do that, but the Rhino skin is made to withstand abuse.

Some people recommend that you secure the TX to the case with Velcro to keep it from jostling around in there, but I’ve been perfectly happy using mine as is.

The Rhino case also has room for two extra SD cards, as well as openings for all the ports and the stylus.

To sum it up, we LOVE our Palm TX. Before I had it, I had no idea I’d use it so much; after all, I have my laptop. But the TX is indispensable.

A lot of people might have this problem and blame it on the TX, when in fact it is simply the owner using up all the memory or installing incompatible apps.
